The vision of a local journalist, funded by local businesses and a grant from Portishead Town Council, Visit Portishead is a much-visited resource for the town which is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers.

Though not our biggest, this is a major database-backed project that includes:

What's on calendar with user submitted events and a custom moderation / admin system
Directory for local businesses, user submitted listings with custom-coded admin
Clubs & Organisation listings with category filters, custom submission form and admin
Embedded defibrillator map
BlueTree blog & admin functions

This project has driven development of some useful features in BlueTree CMS. And it’s still growing: as more funding becomes available, we improve the site and add more content.
